Roger and Amelia Eshelman have been married for 45 years, have raised six children, and are currently blessed with nine grandchildren. Amelia is teaching at a local Christian school and Roger continues to build. They have worked and lived in the Roaring Fork Valley about 35 miles from Aspen, CO near Carbondale for 47 years. While visiting Mexico some 15 years ago, they started to help out on a very small scale where they could. Over the years this escalated into a broader scope of volunteering in various capacities, both in the USA and Mexico, at Churches, Bible schools, missions, and orphanages. For many years, they also have monthly partnered with large, well known Christian Missions all over the world. Four years ago, they started to focus on a small, very poor, Christian Missionary Bible College/Church called El Shadday, near Guaymas in Sonora, Mexico. There the Bible students focus on becoming Missionaries in their local communities, taking the lifesaving Gospel of the good news about Jesus Christ out into the poorest areas regularly! Many times, not very well received! But, they have seen many victories, including a gathering last Christmas of about 200 young people learning more about Jesus Christ! The Eshelman’s have collected, utilized and distributed many loving donations from people just like and including you! These were 100% directed to meet some very dire basic human needs! Many thanks to those who gave! Some of the most major accomplishments include:
1. Construction and completion of two brand new, much needed, septic/sanitation systems!!
2. Instead of delivering trucked water, they connected the school to city water, and added the necessary storage and pumping equipment. (see video!)
3. Paramount was a new separate storage and delivery system for filtered, clean, drinking water!
4. In 2022 they personally delivered a donated a fully restored 16 passenger van, filled with clothing to give the very grateful students.
5. Donations were raised to convert and remodel an equipment room into a new furnished, small, one bedroom “Casita” for two recent graduates/ newlyweds. That young couple became the new house parents for the entire school. (see video)
6. With the help of local faithful partners, and recurring donations, they established a subsidy for food staples, with a monthly grocery delivery and distribution program.
7. In 2022 with the help of the local Orchard Life Church in Carbondale the Eshelmans were able to start their own autonomous, Christian non-denominational, nonprofit org. called Trinity Mexico Missions!
8. TMM pays a small $25 a week salary each to three young, unpaid, graduated Missionary family couples who act as teachers, and also have separate ministries of their own.
9. Last spring with the help of their financial partners, TMM completed the necessary structural repairs on the existing dilapidated dormitory building. This was crucial in preparation for the much anticipated 2023 complete dormitory remodel! TMM really needs your help and support right now, with this very important project! Please! (See video of the existing, partially abandoned dormitories before the structural repairs.) It is in obvious, desperate need of attention!
As the Lord leads you, especially if you’re a new giver, please consider acting and coming along side of Trinity, both with your prayers, and financial support. YOU will be helping to make a real difference in advancing the Kingdom of God! Your donations directly facilitate the work of these beautiful, precious, young students, who are faithfully taking the Gospel out into their communities! With your help and with Gods blessing, Trinity will continue to grow in its outreach to these and many other programs in 2023! TMM and the Eshelmans would like to really stress that absolutely no focus whatsoever be put on any of our human accomplishments. To be clear, ALL light and praise and glory goes to God and His purposes! It is truly a blessing and a joy for any of us to engage in His will! Please remember to pray before you give!
May God continue to bless TMM and you ALL in this New Year! Thank you all so very much! Your friends in Christ!
